Business analytics skills are increasingly important in today’s business landscape. Experts predict a significant shortage of analytics professionals in the near future. To meet this growing industry demand and better position its graduates for success, Ohio University is now offering a business analytics co-major.

Business analytics refers to the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the methodical exploration and investigation of business data. This includes using predictive and prescriptive statistical tools to support decision-making and to gain insight of business performance.

Ohio University’s Business Analytics Major helps students to develop skills and competencies in business analytics and provides them with hands-on experience of statistical tools used in the business environment using data provided by industry partners. Our curriculum is designed to support a seamless transition from student to business professional. The Business Analytics Major must be combined with another major.
